New Innovations in Email Marketing – Episode 2

Here we are with our episode 2 of innovations in email marketing. Let’s get back to the rest of the five innovations:

#6: Micro-Targeting Email Subscribers: You can create hyper-personalized emails by categorizing subscribers into smaller groups based on granular information using micro-targeting. For example, you might create a segment of females aged 35 and buying kids’ clothes regularly in Texas. In addition to basic information like age and sex, such elements also consider a subscriber’s browsing history and previous purchases.

#7: Using Animated Portable Network Graphics: With over 16 billion colors and 24-bit colors, Animated Portable Network Graphics (APNGs) have revolutionized how interactive elements in emails appear. A certain amount of bits represents each pixel, and using 24 bits to store color information is called actual color (24-bit). Every email marketer is looking for ways to add interactive elements to their campaigns – and the most popular way to do so will be with the use of pages.

The APNG (Animated Portable Network Graphics) format extends the capabilities of PNG (Portable Network Graphics) to include animated images. GIFs will likely be replaced in emails by this format, and the reasons are evident. The animation has a better resolution than GIFs and no unsightly borders surrounding it.

#8: Hyper personalizations of email: A lot of importance is placed on personalization. After all, who doesn’t like getting a box of coupons on their birthday or being referred by name at their favorite restaurant?

Do tailor-made experiences pay off? A marketing strategy is time-consuming, especially for small teams and solopreneurs.

Research has shown that personalized email tactics will benefit your customers and the bottom line.

      * In a study by McKinsey, it’s found that responsive personalization can multiply marketing ROI by five to eight times. In other words, revenue will increase by 400%.

      * According to a study by MovableInk, “73% of online shoppers look for brands that add value to their shopping experiences.”

      * Only 19% of marketers use personalization in marketing (but 74% know that personalization improves engagement).

Consumers prefer having customized experiences, so they’ll go to brands with a personal touch.

While many marketers understand this, they do not personalize their messages as much as they should.

Many businesses collect reams of data from prospects and customers, but they don’t know how to dig out valuable insights from it. This paralysis leaves a lot of opportunities unexploited and no personalization possible.

You will be well on your way to building a solid base of loyal customers and brand advocates if you can listen to your customers and respond appropriately through your email communications (and other relevant content) to them.

#9: Open Time Personalization Strategy can improve customer engagement: By taking advantage of open time personalization of email content, quick-service operators can engage customers in real time with hyper-relevant, context-sensitive content. Additionally, this technique allows you to tailor your marketing, service, and sales efforts according to the interests of specific groups. The result is higher customer loyalty and conversion rates.

#10: Video Content: Is video marketing already in use at your company? It might inspire you to start if you haven’t already. In 90% of cases, consumer videos help them decide whether to buy a product.

Including videos in your email marketing can lend credibility to your brand and increase brand awareness. When it comes to catching your customers’ attention, tutorials, product reviews, unboxings, and motion graphics are always good ideas.
